P-810 Small Load Piezo Translators are high resolution linear actuators for static and dynamic applications with low forces. They provide sub-millisecond response and sub-nanometer resolu-tion.
The translators are equipped with high reliability multilayer Piezo ceramic stacks protected by a non magnetic stainless steel case. Because of the small Dimensionss, no preload is integrated. P-810 translators are sensitive to tensile, bending and lateral forces (click here for mounting guidelines).
Attachment is via the ferro-magnetic end surfaces e.g. by epoxy, or via magnets (no clamping at the steel case). PI offers a variety of preloaded translators for applications with larger tensile forces (see following pages).
