P-830 Piezo Translators are high resolution linear actuators for static and dynamic applications. They provide sub-millisecond response and sub-nanometer resolution. The translators are equipped with high reliability multilayer Piezo ceramic stacks protected by a non magnetic stainless steel case. Because of the small Dimensionss, no preload is integrated. P-830 translators are sensitive to tensile, bending and lateral forces (click here for mounting guidelines).
Attachment is via the ferromagnetic end surfaces e.g. by epoxy, or via magnets (no clamping at the steel case).
PI offers a variety of preloaded translators for applications with larger tensile forces (see following pages).
